Nothing seems confirmed yet, but rumors are flying that Cinco Ranch will visit Southlake Carroll in Week 5, which is Oct. 3. This amid growing speculation that North Shore won't be able to visit Carroll next Saturday night because school isn't yet back in session and no one knows when that will happen. Coach David Aymond said Thursday the team hasn't been together since before the storm.
I'll check into this Friday morning and see what I can find. If so, what a catch for Cinco!

Just moved to the area and have found your site. Just wanted say Great job covering football for the area. I have really enjoyed the columns and videos.
Dave, can you tell us a little about how long the site has been around and how you became so involved in covering sports.
Great Job...keep it up.

Thanks for the compliments. I moved to Houston almost exactly a year ago myself. Welcome to town, and if you're from the Midwest you have joined a HUGE group of transplants!
Here's what I can say ... AC was started back in 2006 as a news media arm to College Ball or Bust, a company founded by Lisa Sinclair to help her son (a football player at Houston Memorial) market himself to potential recruiters. They wanted to get video, spread word, etc. on recruits, but found they had a tough time doing that not being a media outlet!
That's where AC came in. As I said earlier, I moved here in September 2007 and joined this company. This is an extremely challenging job keeping up with the whole area but it's fulfilling too helping kids who may not otherwise be known get marketed.
Personally, I worked for two daily newspapers near my hometown of Columbus, Ohio for 7 1/2 years before moving here. My girlfriend is from the Clear Lake area, as is a branch of family that's lived here for a while, so Houston has been something of a second home for years.
